The Murders at Argos

THE MURDERS AT ARGOS updates the Oresteia with Electra and Orestes as murderous teens. Once again the vengeful Clytemnestra kills her husband when he returns from the war, and Electra, disaffected and rebellious,  persuades her fragile brother to take revenge. The tormented Orestes, pursued by the Furies, flees across Greece. Only Iphigeneia, returning 10 years after she was sacrificed to the gods, brings peace and reconciliation to her troubled family. A tragicomic riff on guilt, innocence, crime, and redemption.

“Smart, sharp, funny, and fantastic. One of the best modern adaptations of a classic and one of the best things at the Fringe.”
